Perhaps better known by his nickname, The Apache, Steve Cliff is a prodigious hauler of big carp. He cut his teeth on the clay pits of Bedfordshire, learning his trademark spodding approach on a famous syndicate water in the area. After catching a huge number of thirties and indeed, forties, from there he's ranged far and wide, catching big carp from all across the south of England.
Steve is a bit of an expert on Linear Fisheries and has successfully targeted big carp from most of its prolific waters. He likes nothing more than researching the habits of his target fish, forming a plan and executing it! He's often to be found spodding out one of his little green buckets of fine-tuned spod mix over the top of three rods, all positioned on a meticulously markered spot. It's little wonder that Danny Fairbrass calls him 'The Master' of that particular discipline!
