GARTH ETHELSTON
Age: 34 PB: 43lb 10oz
Whether Garth is pitting his wits against carp on mindboggling waters that contain only a handful of carp, trotting a stick float along a flowing river for grayling, or deadbaiting for pike on a freezing winters day; as long as he’s fishing, he’s a happy chappy.
Nevertheless, this man can fish. With so much experience taken from fishing for so many species, he has a lot to put into carp fishing, with watercraft being his biggest strength.
Garth can adapt to many different tactics; whether that be floater fishing, spodding on a sixpence or PVA bag angling. However, his biggest passion has to be pioneering a water with that ‘unknown’ factor. He loves not knowing what’s coming next.
Most of Garth’s most notable captures evade the public eye because the carp are so special. He has caught hatfuls of thirties and a number of forties from some very elusive places. That said, he likes nothing more than socialising on some of the cracking waters found on the Linear Fisheries complex with his mates.
So, if you ever spot this roving angler on the bank, be sure to say hello. He will be updating his pages with all sorts of species and some very special ones at that. Keep an eye out because you can learn a heck of a lot from this guy.
