Singlez - Rod Support System

Danny Fairbrass has been using this unique stainless system for years now – it is perfect

This revolutionary rod support system is the brainchild of Korda boss Danny Fairbrass, and was designed in line with his vision and then produced for us in stainless steel by top engineering firm, JAG Products. It can be used in any type of ground or even on platforms.

A two-rod and three-rod versions are available, with a whole host of different ways of setting them up, thanks to different length uprights and buzz bars, plus you can even turn them into single bank sticks if you want to.

The Singlez has literally turned rod support systems upside down, as the buzz bar is at the bottom resting on the ground, thus providing far more stability and allowing it to be pushed into the ground with your feet, and the uprights are screwed into that, providing perfect spacing and ensuring they are all straight – it looks like a multi-rod, single bankstick set-up, but without all the hassle!

The system takes the best from buzzer bars and the best from single sticks, to produce a hybrid system that’s unrivaled for stylishness and functionality. What’s more, it’s produced in beautiful, hardwearing stainless steel to incredible standards, which has a reassuring weight to it and bags of finesse.

You will never use conventional buzz bars ever again! I have been putting this system through its paces for six years now so I know it beats standard buzz bars on pretty much every level. - Danny Fairbrass

The beauty of the Singlez system is that you can build your own set-up from the different buzz bar and upright options, so it suits your style of angling. Here are my preferred Singlez set-ups for two and three rods.

Singlez are NOT the same as other manufacturers' buzzer bars and designed by Korda Developments and manufactured by JAG to ensure they are perfectly precision engineered.

The cross piece is made from a solid stainless steel bar. The upstands that the UPRIGHTS screw into are connected to the solid bar using a unique triangular shape that prevents them from moving or twisting (a problem that can occur when standard methods of manufacturing are used).

How to build your Singlez System

Step 1

Create pilot hole

Screw 'T' Bar into spike and make a pilot hole 9/10 of the way in. This means you never risk bending the buzz bar.

Step 2

Attach bite alarms

Screw uprights into buzz bars, then attach your bit alarms

Step 3

Slide on stabiliser

Slide on Singlez Spike Ball Stabiliser, lock in place by screwing the same spike that made the pilot hole.

Step 4

Push system into the ground

Push Singlez System in, gripping the uprights not the bit alarms. You can tap the Spike Ball Stabiliser with a mallet to get it past stubborn stones. Most of the time you can wriggle it into gravel.

Step 5

Add bobbins

Clip in your chosen bobbins.

Step 6

Adjust uprights accordingly

Place rods onto system and adjust front (or back) uprights to achieve desired angle.

Step 7

Ready for action

Your Singlez Rod Support System is now ready for action... tight lines.
