Krank Bottom-Bait Mechanics

The key to using the Krank pattern successfully lies in not overcomplicating the setup. The shape of the hook makes for great hooking potential, without the need for shrink tube kickers, or rig rings. In this case, we've tied the rig up with N-Trap Semi Stiff and not broken the coating. This is one of Tom Dove's favourite presentations and it plays into his stripped-back angling style.

The huge gape and offset point combine to provide great hooking capacity, and the stiffness inherent within the link will ensure that the hook bait is presented properly, ready to hook the next fish that picks it up.
