D Rig (Print)
A hook with an out-turned eye and fluorocarbon are essential for tying the D rig.
Remove some of the IQ Original Fluorocarbon. Around 12 inches is suffice.
Push the tag end through the eye of a Choddy hook, like so.
Begin to whip the Choddy hook on using a knotless knot.
Once you have whipped down five times, take it back through the front of the eye.
Thread a Micro Rig Ring onto the tag end that would normally be a hair.
Then, place the tag back through the eye of the hook, as shown here.
Carefully burn the tag end with a naked flame. This creates a blob.
The blob prevents the tag end from pulling back through the eye.
Attach a ring swivel by forming a figure-of-eight loop in the opposing end.
Moisten the knot and then slowly pull it tight, like so.
Trim the tag end with a sharp pair of Korda Razorblades.
Anchor your pop-up down with the correct split shot. This is a No1 shot.
Pineapple pop-ups are a fantastic bait for outwitting opportunist carp.
Tie the pop-up onto some dental floss and then attach to the Micro Rig Ring.
The final rig is very invisible and carp find it tricky to get rid of - superb!
