Braided Bottom Bait Rig (Print)
To tie this simple rig you'll need these components.
Pull off 12 inches of Supernatural braid.
Tie a hair loop using an overhand knot.
Slide on your chosen hook bait to accurately set the hair length.
Secure the bait in place using a hair stop.
Slide on your chosen hook and set the hair length like this.
Now whip the hook in place using a knotless knot.
After six turns, pull the hair away from the shank and continue whipping above it for two turns.
That's how the hair arrangement should look.
Side on a Sinker.
Push it into the middle of the link to help pin it down.
Start to tie the rig to a ring swivel using a five-turn grinner knot.
Moisten and tease the knot down carefully.
Trim the tag off leaving 5mm projecting above the knot.
Look at the way that the hair arrangement allows the point of the hook to drop into place perfectly for hooking.
