Unique job opportunity - here's how to apply!

If you are passionate about fashion, and want to work for leading tackle company, Korda Developments, then this could be your chance!

Korda and Guru are looking for project manager/designer to take full responsibility for our extensive range of clothing, and to keep on pushing the boundaries and innovating to ensure that we stay ahead of the rest of the market.

You will need to have a keen interest in fashion and be up-to-date with all the latest trends to ensure that our waterproofs, winter clothing, casual wear, footwear, hats, sunglasses, and everything else in our range remains at the cutting edge.

Not only will you need to understand the design-side of things, but you will also need to have extensive experience of managing projects and dealing with our suppliers, to ensure that products come to market on time and maintain the high level of quality which is synonymous with the brand.

Whoever ends up with the job will get to travel around the world to meet up with suppliers in the Far East and ensure that our designs are being followed correctly and to a high standard – something which Danny Fairbrass is very passionate about as he has had a high level of involvement in coming up with the designs and pushing the Korda Klothing brand to where it is today.

We are constantly looking to improve and add to the range, and this includes making use of new styles, or even fabrics, which can be utilised in the fishing clothing market, so you will need to keep abreast of all that.

Although there will input from Danny Fairbrass, in terms of design, and Tom Dove, head of product development, you will need to be the sort of person who can get on with the job and deliver to a high standard, without having to be directed on a daily basis. This job will only suit people who are also highly organised, as it is essential that launch dates for new products are met, and you will also take a role in marketing the products, and influencing the way in which they are displayed in retail outlets.

If this describes you, and you want to apply for the job, please send us your CV plus a covering letter explaining in 200 words or less why you are right for the role. Applications close on November 28, and should be sent to: careers@korda.co.uk
