Thinking Tackle lands on Shed!

Carp angling fans are in for a treat over the next two weeks with Discovery Shed airing every action-packed episode from season nine of Thinking Tackle.

Starting with episode one on Tuesday 3rd June at 6pm, the nine episodes then air on Shed on consecutive days with a gap at weekends, culminating in the Carp Academy special on Monday 15th June.

The nine-show season covers all aspects of carping, from day ticket action on popular fisheries in Essex, London, Oxfordshire and Devon, to targeting big fish in Cambridgeshire, along with zig, surface and stalking tactics.

Starring the cream of UK carp anglers, stunning venues and amazing fish, each hour-long episode is airing as part of Discovery Shed’s month-long fishing-themed season of programming. Thinking Tackle’s sister show, Fishing Gurus, also airs after each episode on the same dates.

Wednesday 3rd – 6pm
Unfinished Business
Ali Hamidi and Tom Dove return to the famous St. John’s Lake, aiming to catch some of the wily carp that outfoxed them when they last fished the Oxfordshire Mecca, in front of the underwater cameras.

Thursday 4th – 6pm
The Quarry
Simon Scott and his guest, Elliott Gray, put on a carp-fishing masterclass at top day-ticket lake, The Quarry.

Friday 5th – 6pm
Day Ticket Tinkering
Noted big-carp specialist James Turner joins Ali Hamidi as they attached to catch from the prolific Bayeswater, a lake that’s open to anyone.

Monday 8th – 6pm
The Todber Adventure
Todber Manor provides the backdrop as Simon Scott and his guest, Tom Dove, showcase the clever tricks and tips that help them catch loads of carp on busy lakes.

Tuesday 9th – 6pm
Up Close And Personal
Simon Scott is reunited with old friend and fishery owner, Ben Gratwicke, at Digger Lakes in deepest Devon. How will the duo set out trying to trick the crafty carp that live in this intriguing, intimate venue?

Wednesday 10th – 6pm
Concrete Carping
Simon Scott travels to Walthamstow Reservoirs in North London to meet England internationals, Billy Flowers and Jamie Londors. The lads pass on some of the clever tactics that have helped them to become expert at catching large amounts of carp, very quickly.

Thursday 11th – 6pm
Hauling At Hardwick
Danny Fairbrass and Neil Spooner test their tactics on pressured day-ticket venue, Hardwick Smiths. Can the lads outwit the stunning-yet-crafty carp that the Oxfordshire venue holds?

Friday 12th – 6pm
The Return To Bluebell
Bluebell Lakes holds some of the biggest carp in the UK, and Danny Fairbrass and Mark Bryant have them firmly in their sights. There’s plenty of drama as the pair try their luck on the surface and down below.

Monday 15th – 6pm
Carp Academy Special
In a special season finale, the Korda crew head to Manor Farm to team up with the ultra-keen Carp Academy class of 2014 to share their knowledge and passion for carp angling. The show see’s plenty of PBs smashed and some stunning fish on the bank.

Thinking Tackle fans will have to wait until 2016 for season ten, however, with the Korda team busy filming at some amazing locations around Europe to produce a special anniversary tenth season featuring monster carp from stunning, wild waters. Look out for more details in coming months.
