PB For Picky - Martin Pick

Martin Pick broke his longstanding PB yesterday, after he bagged a 45lb 10oz mirror from Wellington Country Park. The big fish, called Willow, upped Martin’s PB by 10oz, beating a mark set by famous Oxfordshire chunk, Petals.
Martin has been targeting the 35-acre Berkshire venue since last June and previously banked another of its famous residents, in the shape of The Linear, as reported on this site. This latest capture came from the same swim, the popular Hole In The Bush and was part of a three-fish catch. The unseasonably cold conditions clearly didn’t deter the fish, as they mopped up the spodded boilies that Martin introduced. He fished three hinged stiff rigs, Elliott Gray style, over the top of his freebies to take the fish.

Congratulations to Martin from all at Korda!
