Korda back AA Dog Rescue

As part of an on-going program to give something back to the community through projects such as Embryo and Carp Academy plus involvement with Cancer Research - amongst others - Korda are now backing AA Dog Rescue in Essex.

The rescue home, which is run purely on charitable donations, takes in any dogs that would otherwise be homeless and offers them a better life plus a chance of being rehomed. Many have been abandoned or given up by their owners, or have ended up in council pounds and face being put down.

Head of media at Korda and AA Dog Rescue patron Ali Hamidi is a regular visitor to the home to walk the dogs, and he was joined by a camera crew on his latest visit to see his four-legged friends at their Latchingdon, Essex premises.

He explained: “It’s not your normal well-funded dog’s home like Battersea, but they do a fantastic job with the resources they have and I’m not ashamed to say that it brings a tear to my eye when I come here. They’re always so pleased to see you!”

“What I love about it – and why I became a patron – is that they don’t discriminate with the dogs they take in. They take every dog that comes along and needs rehoming, but this is an independent place and, like every other dogs home, it needs help. Without Charlie and Karen (who run the home), these dogs would have nowhere to go and they’d be put down.”

“I’d really like to raise awareness of the fantastic work they do. I’m hoping that people will not only come down to walk the dogs, like I do, but maybe they’ll be able to give some of these fellows a forever home or make a donation,” added Ali.
