Here's your chance to work for Embryo and protect angling!

If you’ve ever fancied a job in angling which gives you the chance to protect the future of our sport, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you!

Embryo Angling Projects, the brainchild of Danny Fairbrass, is looking for a fencing assistant, and this exciting opportunity will mean that you will be helping to install otter fencing as part of the Embryo team, which operates up and down the country protecting fisheries.

Embryo has already helped a number of lakes to protect their stock from otter predation, including its own fisheries, and has many more lined up where fencing needs to be installed.

This job is perfect for anyone who loves working outdoors and has a strong desire to help fisheries, and you’ll be involved in all aspects of fence installation, including knocking in posts, fencing, digging trenches and hanging wire. Training will be provided so no experience is necessary although it will help, but you will need to have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

The key requirements for the job include a willingness to travel and stay away for long periods; experience of using excavators is desirable; previous experience of groundwork and working outdoors; angling experience; organised, proactive and enthusiastic with a desire to further your own knowledge and skills; a strong-willed self-starter as the work is hard and physical.

If you’re interested, you need to apply in writing by sending in your CV and a covering letter by April 1, and successful candidates will be contacted soon afterwards. Apply to: elaine@korda.co.uk
