This is a large part of the role - working with a brief supplied by the Product Development team, the Graphic Designer must produce artwork that is accurate, innovative and on-brand. All jobs must be carefully proofed before final print files are submitted. All print files must be accompanied by a detailed brief for the printer which must include: mock ups (JPG or PDF visuals that demonstrate how the job should look when printed), print and fold guides (if relevant), exact dimensions, specific instructions (colours/special finishes/type of fold required etc) and any other information necessary to prevent incorrect interpretation of the job. The graphic designer must also obtain all the relevant imagery required, either by organising the photographic requirements with the marketing team, or briefing the CAD Designer for 3D rendered images of product. Translations must also be commissioned and all packaging jobs need to be designed to accommodate all 11 languages that we currently use.

The Graphic Designer works with the media team to produce eye catching thumbnails to support online content.

The Graphic Designer must also assist Korda Europe with various adhoc requirements such as exhibition graphics, promotional materials, translated press ads etc

Various requests come in on a daily basis – this may be to simply supply a logo, or produce a web graphic for a retailer, but it needs to be scheduled in and produced in a timely manner. The Graphic Designer must communicate with internal and external customers to ensure that expectations are met and deadlines are adhered to.
