Elsons, Northamptonshire

Elsons, found on the wonderful Stanwick Lakes complex, is a beautiful water of over 6 acres, steeped in carp fishing history; offering tench, massive pike, and of course specimen carp.
The biggest recorded carp was just over 39lb caught back in 2004 so who knows how big this one could be now. There are also currently 6 known 30lb+ fish. The pike have been caught at over 23lb. Most tactics will work on the day, so location and watercraft definitely plays a massive part in whether you succeed or not. There is a maximum of 12 anglers allowed on the water at any one time and due to demand booking is necessary.
You are required to have a landing net of no less than 42" and a large unhooking mat. If you are not in possession of either, you will not be allowed to fish Elson's.

Par Lakes, Essex

There are two lakes on the impressive Par complex; both offering some of the very best carp and catfish fishing in the county. A firm favourite of Tom Dove and Adam Penning’s, there is a lack of crowded banks because all tickets sold are strictly limited. That said, swims can also be pre-booked if you have a preference. Group bookings are very welcome with discounts given - tackle and bait can even be delivered to you if needed. With over nine acres of water set in mature and established surroundings, this is what fishing is all about.
The front lake is the specimen carp and catfish water and is ideal if you want action. The average carp is around mid doubles with many specimens going over the magical 20. Also, there are several large catfish around 30lb with specimens going over 60. Tench can also be had to double figures.
The back lake however, contains purely specimen carp and plenty of them. Nearly all the resident carp are over 20lb, with many over the magical 30lb barrier.
A maximum of five anglers are permitted on the lake at any one time to give everyone plenty of room. The lake can also be booked out to parties of anglers.

Churn Pool, Cotwold Water Park

The intimate pool is stocked with a variety of species including trout, but also contains some very special carp which, up until now, have been kept secret in the Cotswolds. Consequently, the coarse season will run from 29th June - 20th September 2009 and will be available in stays of 4 days (Monday to Thurs), 3 days (Fri to Sun) or 7 days (Monday to Sun).
Demand for this limited period is high, so please book early to avoid disappointment
Customers will have full exclusive use of the lake and its facilities. Once you have arrived, the gate will be closed and the lake will be yours for the duration of your stay.
Churn Pool is well stocked with carp – containing a mixture of mirrors, commons and a few ghosties, with several fish going over the magical 30lb barrier!
The fish in Churn Pool are widely regarded as some of the best looking and hardest fighting carp you will ever find, with many heavily scaled mirrors and scale perfect golden commons.
Some of the original fish are over 25 years old now, and are true warriors. They may not be the biggest in the land, but certainly have plenty of character.
The fishing at Churn Pool has been described as both pleasurably easy and excruciatingly frustrating! The carp here are seldom fished for, so although they may not be the most rig shy fish, stealth and watercraft is essential. It is an ideal stalking water because fish can usually be found feeding in the edge quite easily. They also love a mixer!
The features at Churn Pool are plentiful; fallen trees, intimate shallow bays made for stalking, water inlets, large gravel bars, deep margins, small beds of pads, almost every carpy looking feature you could think of!
