First 'Fest Success!

The first Carpfest of 2011 turned out to be a big success at Manor Farm Fishery in Bedfordshire. Hundreds of people turned out to join the fun last weekend, which bodes well for the rest of this summer’s events. The visitors were kept entertained by attractions that included a very popular Mainline bait-rolling demo from Jamie and a casting arena that allowed them to try out the top-end Daiwa rods for themselves.
Darrell Peck manned the Korda stand and took questions all day as well as demonstrating the latest Korda kit. As you can see from the pictures, Trakker put on a superb display of their bivvy range and Matt Quibell was there to talk interested parties through the brand new Tempest system – which was most impressive! The Delkim stand looked good, with a full setup resplendent on the counter for visitors to come along and play about with.
As promised, Richie Lofthouse and Jake Wildbore put on a fine angling display on The Carp Lake, taking fish to 20lb. The kettle was always on round in their swims to guests could ask them any carp-related questions over a nice cuppa!
Make sure you get along to the one that’s nearest to you over the coming months and join in with all the fun of the ‘Fest…
