Come and see us at The Big One Show this weekend!

Come along and meet Team Korda at the UK’s largest angling show this weekend – The Big One!

Korda have pulled out all the stops for this year’s show to put on something really special at the long-running event at FIVE Farnborough, taking place over the weekend of March 19 and 20.

We are renowned for being one of the first to film carp underwater and how they reacted to rigs and bait, and now we are bringing a huge fish tank to the show, containing a variety of species, including carp, and you’ll be able to see exactly what they are doing, as the experts explain what is going on!

The tank is a massive 10m long by 2m wide, and although we won’t actually be hooking any of the carp, you’ll be able to see their reaction and the way in which they are feeding, rather than just listening to someone talking about it or showing photos.

This will all be part of what has been dubbed the ‘Kordatorium’, which is our own theatre next to the Korda stand, where top anglers from the team will be giving presentations over both days on all different aspects of carp fishing. This includes some of the biggest names in carp fishing such as Danny Fairbrass, Darrell Peck, Ali Hamidi, and Neil Spooner, whom you will have seen starring in the latest Masterclass 3 DVD.

The Big Fish Off has been a massive hit on ITV, with millions having watched the first series, and with Series Two coming to your screens next month, presenters Dean Macey and Ali Hamidi will be on hand for autographs and photos. They will also be on stage talking about the new series and revealing some of what goes on behind the scenes during filming!

The full range of Korda tackle will also be on display, with demonstrations on our stand throughout the day of exactly how to get the best out of it and you’ll be able to ask the experts anything – we’ve just won the Carp Talk End Tackle Range of the year award.

Ali will also be selling his latest book, ‘The Carpers’ High’, and he enthused: “I haven’t been to The Big One for a long time, probably four or five years, so I’m really looking forward to going back.

“It’s the biggest show these days and we’ll be talking about the new series of The Big Fish Off which is coming to ITV next month, as well as some of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes! Hopefully people will enjoy our own auditorium as well and there should be plenty of variety so there is something for everyone,” he added.

The full line up in the ‘Kordatorium’ on both days is as follows:

10am: Danny Fairbrass and Darrell Peck give a Spring Masterclass on getting a bite right now!

11am: Ali Hamidi and Dean Macey talk about The Big Fish Off behind the scenes with guests.

12pm: Danny Fairbrass and Neil Spooner on the latest tactics for holiday fishing in France,

1pm: Dean Macey, Adam Rooney and Steve Ringer on match winning tactics.

2pm: Danny Fairbrass, Neil Spooner and Ali Hamidi on the making of ITV4s new Monster Carp show.
