Calling All Young Carpers

The 2012 Korda British Young Carpers' Angling Championships will once again be taking place on the renowned Oxford Linear Fisheries Complex in Oxford in August. Due to the success of last year’s event we will again be setting up for the week on Brasenose Two!
This fantastic event, organized by Angling Publications the publishers of Crafty Carper monthly carp fishing magazine, which is now in its 9th year will commence on Monday 6th August and run until Sunday 12th August 2012 with a series of four day-only eliminators which will see in excess of 130 junior anglers battle it out for a place in the 48-hour final. Approximately 30 to 35 anglers will be entered into each of the four day-only eliminators, which are Monday 6th August, Tuesday 7th August, Wednesday 8th August and Thursday 9th August. The top eight anglers who catch the highest weight of fish from each eliminator will qualify for the 48-hour final, which begins on Friday 10th August at 12pm and runs through until 12pm on Sunday 12th August. The final will be screened on Sky Sports.
Entry to the BYCAC 2012 is on a first-come, first-served basis; as long as you are aged 17 or under on August 1st 2012, have your own overnight carp catching kit and a responsible adult to accompany you, you too can enter. Could you be the next British Young Carpers’ Angling Champion?
